I have a Toshiba Cinema Series # TN55V71. When plugged up it turns on, four clicks and turns off. Then the light blinks.

Change the regulation ic

check the power supply section for leak filter capacitor 160volts and 100micro farrads.and check or change in actual the auto coupler.

my toshiba tv shuts itself off after about an hour or so

have the power supply chacked on the unit

you will need two convergence ICs they are both STK392-110 and you should also order four 2.2 ohm 2watt resistors. You can get replacement ICs and resistors at the following link with free instructions.

you either smoked the video ic or apower supply feed to it ,

sounds like loose connections on the convergance amps ic's

If you have the owners manual look on page 64 and see what it says there about the light lighting up in the front of the unit. if you do not have the owners manual, you can get one for free here: http://tacpservice.toshiba.com/ConsumerProductSupport/Manuals/TV/2004/52-62HMX84_E_R1_093004.pdf

We finally had a repair man out and he replaced 2 convergence IC. They were $80 each so get out the check book! Works fine now!
