Question about Computers & Internet
Its probably not the monitor that's asking you for the password...its the BIOS password that is required or any password relating to the system. Monitors only display the image projected from the PC.

Tips for a great answer:
Mar 15, 2011 | LG Flatron 295LM 22" LCD Monitor
Mar 05, 2011 | HP Compaq FS 7550 17" CRT Monitor
This monitor includes EzTune™ which is part of GatewayShield's hardware protection solution.
This theft deterrent software lets you use a unique PIN code to secure your monitor
to your PC. If your monitor is removed from your PC, your monitor will not
function. To get started, install the EzTune software from the CD, go to the
Plug-ins section and enter your personal identification number. If you decide
to move your monitor to another PC, make sure that you install EzTune on the
second PC and enter your PIN or disable EzTune within GatewayShield on your
original PC before you disconnect your monitor from your PC
