If it asks for date and time every time you turn it on even though you did set it last time - the internal battery is empty. You can change it if you have experience in soldering and repairs, otherwise - ask local Nikon or other camera service center.

Set date time

Typically on some of the Coolpix cameras there is an internal chip that holds the time and date. If it is no longer under warranty, it would cost too much to repair unless you can do it yourself. Nikon, though slow, will repair it if it is under warranty I am told.

Suddenly the monitor on the back of my Nikon D3000 does not light up, so i cannot change any settings, review photos etc. Is it possible I turned it off? How do I fix it?

Try pushing the two buttons that have a little green circle next to them at the same time for two seconds. This should reset all the basic settings on your camera. If this still doesn't work then you should contact your local Nikon authorized service center for repairs. Hope this helps!

Blured picture outcome

Try resetting the settings in the camera's menu. If that still doesn't work then you'll have to get your camera serviced by an authorized Nikon service center. If the camera is less than a year old you may still be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

MY Nikon D3000 was OK for five days' shooting in Paris. Then I removed the battery to charge it. When I placed the battery back, the camera would not turn on. I checked the battery on another camera and it...

This sounds like you have a power pcb problem in the camera. If the battery works in another camera as you said then the problem is definitely in the camera. If the camera is less than one year old then I suggest you send in for warranty service to your closest authorized service center. I use photo tech in nyc, ny for all my repairs. Good luck

My nikor 50mm f1.8 was dropped and it will not work.

If you are under warranty, contact Nikon, they have decent service center. Also make sure to check out any local camera stores to see if they offer repair or replacement. Many times just getting a new lens is cheaper than repair, I recently purchased the same lens used in excellent condition on Ebay for around 60 bucks, which is really reasonably priced.

Coolpix S710 time-date setting required EVERY time

I thing your problem in your internal power. I don't know what NIKON S710 use. For some camera, they used internal battery (Circle and small) in their board. If you find same, try to change with the new one. If you don't find it..In my country i find the battery in the watch service. I hope usefull
