Question about ASUS 90-A4C1K1000 Keyboard

2 Answers

Keyboard is typing @ when i press " and " when i press @ This is happening to me with a BRAND new PC and keyboard. I tried a different keyboard and it did the same thing. I don't have a Fn key on either of my keyboards and I can't seem to find a way to pull up an option to switch the keys around. Can anyone provide a solution or a push in the right direction at least?

It seems that you have other keyboard language installed than english.
at start - settings - control panel - regional settings, keyboard tab you will find out the language which is default
From there you can change it to US English

When you move and place a new keyboard same brand on your computer what is wrong with keyboard when you cant get it to come on it says keyboard error and the light doesnt come on to tell you the keyboard...

Try the new keyboard in a different computer, to see if the new keyboard is defective.

Try the old keyboard (or a different one) in your computer, to see if the keyboard-port is still functioning correctly.

Hello, How are you?, Well, the problem with my keyboard is; when i press some keys like, the "R" and "Y" or "U", they don't work. and i have to use a external USB keyboard.

I fixed a friends laptop recently different brand than your but exactly the same keys she had to bash them to make them work. My first thought was needed new keyboard. Was running vista messed up a lot so i decided a format and put win7 on and is now working perfect. I know this isnt a great answer but strange its the keys on a totally different brand laptop? Hope you get it sorted could you get back to me when you do and let me know? Im so curious now ....Hey possibly just uninstall the keyboard drivers in device manager reboot and see what happens when the pc reinstalls them? Cheers from Scott

Many of the keys have stopped working for no reason whatsoever. What could cause this, and what should I do to solve it?

Adesso keyboards are known to stop working for no reason. Never happened with other brands, but two different Adesso keyboards, on two different computers, started typing random keys. The electronics inside these keyboards are doomed to fail.

My laptop keyboard numbers do not work

Hi Amanda,

You have a key, next to the ctrl key at the bottom left, in a different color (maybe blue).
Press and hold that, as you press the respective key at the top (also blue), regarding ->num lk <-
If this isn’t sufficient, ->comment back<-, and well have another look at it.
