SOURCE: Trouble with Itunes and songs
The songs are shaded and can't be selected or deleted because you have to use the synch feature to add or delete anything from Iphone. . When you are in iTunes with the phone plugged in, select the phone in the left hand column. Your phone synch features will appear in the iTunes browser window. Click on the music tab and you will be able to select which playlists are copied or deleted from the phone.

Yes it can, connect your iphone to your computer, at this point as soon as your computer recognizes the iphone itunes should open up.. if it doesn't just open it up yourself. Now on he left where all the playlists are there should be an icon with you iphone there, click on it. Now to the right there should be a tab labeled "music", click on it now you can select wether all your music will transfer over or just certain playlist. There you go.

SOURCE: Hi dude!
In itunes, select menu "Edit" then "Preferenes" then "General" tab.
Be sure there is a check in the box "Movies" -- I think it defaults to unchecked.
Drag your mp4 file into the Movies section of your library (Movies will appear under Library once you check the box).
When you select your iPhone device, go to the "Video" tab, then slide down to the "Movies", check the box "Sync movies" and select whatever movie you want to put on the iPhone.
If you converted a youtube video to mp4 (I used IMTOO converter) and put it into the movies directory, if it ends up in the music area, right click the name, then "get info" then "Options" and set the "Media kind" to "Movie"
If it's not MOVIE it will not apear under the movies area.
PS: Don't need to unlock the iphone to do any of this. Just need a good converter from FLV to MP4, and a way to select the right resolution, 320x240.
Hope this helps.

Unlocking does not effect syncing make sure you have most recent itunes. make sure you don't manually mange music if you want phone to sync. when phone plugged in click on phone to see settings make sure sync music is checked
