Docucolor 260 fault code 10-326

Hello, an almost new docucolor 260 just got to my print shop. This machine has been sitting withouth any use since DEC2007.

I am trying to try it but when I turn it on after a few minutes without sending any print, it gives me this error message:

System fault code, please turn off machine and switch back on.

The number is: 010-326

I believe it has something to do with : Wait Heat Roll Fuser On Time Fail.

I will appreciate any help you can give me.

Thanks!

You mean I need to just turn off and turn back on after 20 seconds right?

This is what I am doing and it works for a while but then it sends the error again.

Right now is working fine, lets just hope for the error to not appear again.

    Thanks!!

Hi there, please try the following:

  1. Turn on the machine and wait for the error to appear again
  2. Power OFF the machine by pressing the [ON / OFF] button located on the right side of the Front Panel
  3. Wait 20 seconds
  4. Power it back on
  5. Wait a while.
Does the error re-appear this time?

    No problem at all!

Yes, the correct procedure for correcting the error is to have it clear the error by waiting 20 seconds after turning it off completely. It should then continue to work as normal.

It may simply be that the internals are just not warmed up enough as it hasn't been used for a long time. Hopefully with time and more use it should cure its own components and be running again without error.

    Best wishes!

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Replace any new toner you put in the machine and shut it down for 2 min then power back on. If that doesn't fix it you will have to call Xerox service to replace a sensor that may be broken.

Xerox DocuColor problem

The only thing I can tell you to do is turn off the machine. On the back of the finisher, unplug the finisher from the processor and power up the machine, it will reconfigure, plug and play like, and send the pages to the center tray.
Once you do that. Go into machine status and into faults. Print out a fault page and tell me the finisher/stapler code coming up so I can let you know exactly whats going on.
I hate that software puts a machine down for functions you do not 100 percent need.
