Rylee: There is power on the brown wire going into the a/c control unit and power coming out of the unit on the light green wire. However, there is no power on the light green wire at the low pressure switch. On the other side of the low pressure switch, there is a dead short on the dark green and white wire going back to the vehicle control module. Your thoughts? Thank you. Carl Bowmer

Rilee: NO problem with the blower, it works fine. The problem is no power to the electric clutch which activates the compressor. Thanks. Carl

    Hi Carl

Purple wire is 12V+ and black is ground. With the switch on high, there should be power and ground present. Remove the Blower Resistor and check for continuity across all of the coils and the resistor.
Also check the HVAC Control Module which includes the rotary switch. Check the wiring harness around the heater housing for signs of overheating. Also check the blower motor resistor and they go bad and you will have no power to the motor, it will look like this-- Blower Motor Resistor

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

    Hi Carl,

You need to replace these wires (dark green and white wire going back to the vehicle control module) as I believe that may have gone bad due to the dead short.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Will a 2008 yukon run with a missing fuel pump relay

{: ) Yes, if the vehicle is equipped with a Fuel Pump Flow Control Module (FPCM). The FPCM is located underneath the vehicle, left side chassis, near the Electronic Brake Control Module. Sometimes, when you check fuse and relays at the underhood fuseblock, you can still see labels and alloted space for the fuel pump fuse and relay. But the circuit is actually internally omitted or modified inside the fuseblock if the vehicle is using FPCM. An FPCM controlled fuel systems doesn't have fuel pump relay at the fuseblock, and instead you may find a FSCM fuse 20amp which gives battery power to the FPCM.

2003 gmc Yukon 5.3 ..2WD air conditioner blows

A vacuum hose that controls the little door that switches where the air blows from is off, its gonna be a real chore the find which one and take the dash out to get to it, but you might get lucky and be able to look underneath the dash from the passenger side and actually see it, good luck

2003 yukon denali---relay locate for blower

the relay is built into the speed resistor or motor control module ) depends if you have automative or manual heater controls. is automatic it will be motor control module and manual is the resistor module. these units are located beside the heate fan motor. the motor helps keeps the unit cool. just unbolt the module, unplug it and install new one. Just check to make sure the connector is good.. The heat created by the connection sometimes melts the power or ground leads (red or black) and if this is so you will need to replace the pin.

Air Conditioner Problem

the most common problem here is a defective air temperature control blend door actuator, this is what moves the door that controls air flow across the heater core or the ac evaporator core, to replace this requires u remove the dash assembly.

Interior dash years and crossover

You need a dashboard from a 1997-1998 model. In 96 there was no passenger air bag, and in 1999 there was another update, so you are kind of limited. Stick with a 1997-98 Chevy or GMC dash and you should be okay.
