There may be a setting that got adjusted somehow. Go into your Options (the wrench icon) and select "Sounds and Ringtones." Under "Ring Tone," there is a volume setting -- make sure it is not set to "Silent." Underneath that, there is a setting called "Play sound" -- make sure that's set to "Always"or "Out of holster."
Do other sounds work on your BlackBerry (such as music files, video clips, or alerts)?
Go onto the music download and click on it then before playing it look at the options they'll either be "set as" or settings. Go on settings or set as and set it as ring tone.
If this doesn't work or them options don't appear go onto your main menu and go on either settings or if your phone has one a ring tone setting. Then go onto sound settings. Then click on it and on there should be your downloaded music
NOTE: Make sure it's on your phone not stored on your memory card.
Hope I helped

1st make sure that your phone speaker is not malfunction, to do this just play any ring tone from your phone to check whether there is a sound come out from the phone speaker. If there is no problem to hear sound from phone then have to check the phone setting, to do this just PRESS and HOLD the button #, a shortcut to toggle between RING mode and VIBRATE mode. Or goto Setting>Audio>Style Detail, and change the alert type such as sound or music. Make sure u are not in the Silent style mode.
