A pharmacy will have a Physicians Desk Reference or PDR for short. There are color pictures of medicines inside it. If your pharmacist doesn't know off the top of his/her head... a few minutes of looking in the PDR will solve your question.

When I push the letters on the keyboard, different letters or symbols are appearing. I pushed "Code" "Q" to reset, but it will not type the proper letters.

BACKGROUND - When you turn on the machine, close the top cover, or press [Code]+[Reset} (on some models) the print head moves to the side, the daisywheel spins, and the ribbon jumps up and down, that is the machine resetting its self.

If a reset does not work the reset tab may be out of alignment. If a reset does not correctly reset the daisywheel, I would

  1. Turn off the power, open the lid. On the bottom of the case there is a metal frame on the side of the frame (where the carriage goes were it homes) you will see a small metal tab pointing towards the middle of the machine. When the machine resets its self, it uses that tab as a reference.
  2. That tab can be easily bent which causes the reset to be incorrectly done. Most people can bend it by hand, DON'T use a pliers! The tab can break off completely. It does not take much pressure and it does not need to be moved very far at all. Just nudge it towards the back (or the front).
  3. Power up the typewriter, close the lid and test it. It might take a couple of tries in either direction to get it right. Be ready to turn off the power if you bent the tab too far the tab will not enter the print head correctly, and the carriage will jam. Just nudge the tab in the other direction.

CAUSES - This reset tab most often gets out of alignment by a child playing with the machine, or when a foreign object is in the machine when the print head is moving.

WHEN TYPING A HALF SPACE IS SKIPPED OCCASIONALLY AND WILL NOT CORRECT THE LETTER TYPED, IS THE LETTER WHEEL REPLACABLE?

To answer your question yes the print wheel can be changed, BUT that is not your problem. The machine needs to be reset or the reset tab needs adjusting.

Background;

When you turn on the machine the print head moves to the right side, the print wheel spins, and the ribbon jumps up and down, that is the machine resetting its self.

I would

  1. Power it off and then turn it back on and test to again.
  2. If it's still typing the wrong or unreadable letters then turn off the power open the lid. On the bottom of the case there is a metal frame on the right side of the frame you will see a small metal tab pointing towards the print head.
    1. (When the machine resets its self, it uses that tab as a reference.)
  3. That tab is easily bent which causes the reset to be wrong. Most people can bend it by hand, DON'T use a pliers! The tab can break off completely. It doesn

How do you disconnect driver side (steering wheel) air bag

on the airbag connector there is a yellow/orange plastic securing tab that is hinged-with the battery disconnected you use a small pocket screw driver and pry the securing tab up easily so not to damage it and then the airbag connector can be removed by gently prying it out with the small pocket screw driver

Message says check cassette Info. code =011

it means that you broke the little tab at the end of the paper tray

there is a way you can fix it.. take the tray out and put it on the side. look in where the tray would go on the left hand side if you follow the wall back you will see a hole with a upside down letter U. if you have a "sticky note, yellow note, what ever you want to call it" fold it into a small thick square and put it in the hole if you did it right the machine will say no recording paper.. if not add more paper or you can buy a new tray
