The lense will only react to light for a few seconds when turned on before going back to low shade. Tried new batteries, have not actually welded with it. Will the light from welding turn it on?

Yes welding arc is a much brighter light and it will work fine for you.

What you described is normal for that helmet.

Vr / 712 / hifi / picture scrammble / fuzz /

From your description it appears you may have dirty heads. Either try a video head cleaner tape or better still , remove the casing & using either a proper head cleaning tool & an appropriate head cleaner fluid (isopropal alcohol) very gently wipe the heads, Do Not put too much pressure or rub too hard as this will damage the heads. If this does not cure the problem then new heads will be required.
Your VR 354 is possibly the whole of the tape path needing cleaned especially the pinch roller (black round roller on the right hand side) this might be worn & again needing replaced

How to fit a snowboard helmet?

"Getting the right fit is the most important factor to consider when buying a Snowboarding Helmet: 1. Measuring Tape. Your helmet size is determined by the circumference of your head. Wrap a measuring tape around your head to get your helmet size. 2. Align the front of the helmet above your eyebrows and hold both straps until the helmet fits well. 3. Make sure there are no unwanted gaps between the helmet lining and your head. The back of the helmet should not touch the back of your neck. 4. The helmet should fit snug and nicely. 5. Try one of your favorite pairs of Snowboard Goggles and make sure they fit properly on your helmet. Please note that the producers of helmets all have different ideas on the shape of a human head. Although the size might be right, the shape of the helmet might be different from the shape of your head."

No sound from my VR-507

My Kenwood1.gif VR-507 had been working great. I hadn't changed anything. I hadn't even moved it. It just suddenly stopped producing sound. It didn't just stop while it was on. I had turned it off and when I turned it back on, nothing. I tried running the speaker setup to see if it would output pink noise, I could hear the test sound, but I couldn't hear any audio from the TV or DVD player..

Help. :-(
