my problem is i cant get ringtones on my phone when i bluetooth from others phone it fails i cant get them off the web for some reasons so i need instructions on how to put ringtones on my phone using the usb cable

yup same exact thing. i'm think of just trading my slide to a different phone already. freck i hate having to research and waste my time getting the bluetooth and ringtones on my memory card to work. ugh.

The reason T-Mobile locked bluetooth and the sidekick ringtones is not because of hackers. Why do you think they didn't put a recording app on the phone? They made it this way because if you are not able to purchase ringtones from other sites, make them yourself, send them via bluetooth, or record them then YOU WILL HAVE TO BUY THEM FROM t-mobile. It is because T-Mobile is a greedy company and that's how it is, I have used them since the SK1, you can't a ringtone on your sidekick except from the catalog if you have T-Mobile. If you are on a different network outside of the US with the sidekick that is a different story.

You can only get ringtones from the t-mobile catalog. You can put mp3 on your slide but not as ringtones.

surenony- Do you have a SD card in your phone? To move files over it has to be onto a sd card.

I had just asked customer service, and they actually put a lock on the sidekicks and will begin to lock new phones to where you can only use bluetooth for the earpiece and calls.
They had problems with hackers and so they got rid of the capabilities and locked bluetooth.

Ok have ne one of u guy put a theme on a side kick??! As you know once you plug you're USB cable in ur comp. states that a mass storage drive has appear! ( well if it dont go to my comp. and look for drive G, or a mass) open that up and make a NEW folder for themes call it....... themes... for ringtones type ...... ringtones.! that should get you going on to better questions! now to find free ringtones compatiable with the side kick is up to you! good luck!
