If there isn't a selector switch or button on console to turn it off, then I guess it's not designed to disable it.

SOURCE: washing machine

This may be a little late, but it may assist someone else. On my Kleenmaid top loader I found the agitator has clips at the bottom of agitator that clip over a drive hub at the bottom of the "tub" . All you have to do is gently prise it up using your fingers between the bottom of the agitator and the bottom of the tub.

SOURCE: WASHING MACHINE DOOR WONT OPEN

Call the manufacture it will be under warranty if it's only 6 months old as the machine will have to be torn down to get to the defective switch, just the top will have to come off if your lucky.

SOURCE: Beko A+A Class 1000 rpm

i would check the lint trap for foriegn bodies, e.g hairclips, hair bands, screws etc as these can cause the pump to stop working, be aware that water will immediately come out of the trap when you loosen it, good luck
