I have Windows Vista. my Airtel MMX 610 U USB modem does not identify SIM and does not work. Also it is well working with Windows other versions like server, or 2000.

Windows Vista is Microsoft's latest operating system, their replacement for Windows XP. Because it's very different from XP, some hardware and software is not compatible. Computer systems that will work with Vista have that sticker so you know Vista will install correctly.

If i doesn't work in Vista, then it doesn't work in Vista, which is one reason people have been hesitant to make the switch to Vista, that being that a lot of XP software wont run on Vista until the manufacturers make a version for Vista.
