My buttom oven is not working but top is working

If it is a fan assisted oven, and the fan is working, then it is likely to be a faulty heating element.
This should be located behind a removeable cover at the rear of the oven compartment.
If the fan is not working as well, then could be a faulty thermostat, even without the element or fan not working, there should be an indicator light on to show that the power is on,
Also make sure the main oven is set for manual operation, and not set on auto, as this will prevent the main oven coming on if it is.

You to check the element with a meter to ensure if you are getting a sapply to it, if you are, then the new element is faulty, if no supply, then probably ythe thermostat is faulty, also check for broken or bad conn ections.

Faulty main oven

If the fan is working in the oven, and it is electrically heated, then it will be a faulty oven element.
This is located at the rear of the oven behind a removeable cover.

Main fan oven not heating

If the light and the fan are working then it is the heating element that has failed. You need to replace it.

Its not a difficult job but you have to take the back off the oven. The heating element is usually in a circular shape around the fan housing.

You have to disconnect the wires to the heater and remove the retaining screws, fit the new heater and reconnect. Remember to switch off the power before starting work

Fan assisted oven is not working it is not heating up I dont think the fan is working can this be repaired the oven is over six years old

Generally speaking, they can be repaired.
If both the fan and the heating element are not working, then it could be a faulty control switch.
If it is only the fan that is not working, then it could be a faulty fan.
This and the element are usually located at the rear of the oven compartment, behind a removeable cover.
Hope this helps.

Hotpoint DY46X: When turning on the main oven it immediately trips out the power circuit.

If it is a fan assisted oven, then I would suspect that the oven element is faulty, disconnect the element, and try again, if it does not trip, then element is faulty, if it still trips, then you are goimg to have to look elsewhere for prob.

Oven not working

You need to detrmine if you are getting a supply to the oven element, if you are , then the new element is faulty, if no supply, then you are going to have to work back from source.

Oven not heating

Hello.
If the fan is working, but there is no heat, then it is the fan oven element that needs to be replaced.
It has nothing to do with timer on this occasion.
Remove panel at rear of oven compartment, there you will see the round element.
Undo fixing screws, and remove element, disconnect leads and fit onto new element, refit new elemrnt, replace cover, and job done!!!

Please leave a fixya rating for my solution.
Thankyou

Oven not getting hot

The fan oven element needs to be replaced in the Hotpoint 6150 cooker.
Access is by removing the inner rear cover of the oven, there you will see the element.
Replace with a new one.

It is possible the base element is faulty in the top oven of the Hotpoint EW95,
The other possibility is that the high speed grill element is only part working. You need to check both these elements.
If the fan is working o/k in the main oven , but not getting hot, then you need to replace the element.
If it does heat, then it could be a faulty thermostat or possibly selector switch.
Unless you have a good working knowledge of electrics and know how to use a meter, then I would suggest you call some one in.
Plz rate my solution
Thanks.
