Place the short blade on the bottom over the oblong piece then place the larger blade on top and screw back together, if there is a piece of foam inside make sure that is under both the blades and around the oblong piece (refered to earlier) which is sticking out of the top of the unit

Replace rear wiper assembly

The wiper arm has a cover on the left end that pops up after gently spreading the two bottom sides apart. That allows the arm to swing out for cleaning the window or replacing the blade.
The wiper blade assembly attaches to the end of the arm . It is pressed in and will pop out with a little force rotating the left side away from the arm. It pops back in with a little push. The arm remains attached to the rotating shaft assembly.
I believe you can then replace just the rubber blade and not the whole blade assembly, if that is your fancy.

If the wipers were jammed two things could have happened to the motor. The first possibility is that you striped one of the plastic gears, or the second more likely option is that the ball joint on the wiper has popped off. Try moving the wiper blades back and forth and listen for a sound like metal scraping or dragging which will mean its the ball joint. To fix it first take off the wiper motor and locate the joint still attached to the blades ( move the blades back and forth till you see it). Once you have found the joint tie some rope around the wiper joint arm and pop the joint back together. I had this happen once with a Subaru during a snow storm.

My 1990 Suburban needs new wipers, I bought the blades, however I dont know how to remove the old ones because it seems to have a different set up. you cant find just blades anymore it comes with the...

The 1990 Chevrolet Suburban has the most common hook-end wiper arms. Locate and press the tab or button where the wiper blade is inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook. You may have to rotate and flex the blade to make enough clearance for the hook to pass through.

How do I change the blade on a GBC AccuCut A400pro paper trimmer?

You have to pop/pry the blue plastic cover off with a screwdriver blade or something similar. The you unscrew the silver colored piece, then there is a piece of plastic, usually gray, which has a magnet on it, land clinging to the magnet will be your old blade. Remove old blade--watch your fingers, and you can use the magnet to get the new blades out of its plastic case. Align blade and gray magnet--there is notch at the top, put the screw back on and pop back the blue pastil cap. Voila I ran into the same problem until I realized the directions were on the cardboard backing of my replacement blades. DUH!

The blade lock is not locking . When you put pressure on the blades they pop off

Most makes of clipper including Oster, Andis, Wahl have a latch which is depressed to release the blades. The latch is commonly situated under the hinge assembly and holds the blade with a simple hook at the tip which catches on the blades.
If the blades will pull off without depressing the latch, chances are the tip has broken off and will require replacement.
Undo the two screws securing the hinge into place and remove both parts, when fitting the new latch make sure the spring ends of the hinge locate through the holes on either side of the latch.

The whole blade set has come off and we have no manual to put back together

There is a small gun-metal colored bar at the very rear, just below the back of the blade when it is only the clipper. It pushes inward, in the direction of the blade. Push it firmly in and pull up on the teeth of the blade. It should pop upward. You can then remove the blade from the tongue that it sits upon. When you want to put it back, slide the blade back on the tongue, then, WITH THE MOTOR TURNED ON, push the blade down to its seated position. It will click into place.
If you have taken the blade off and the tongue has for some reason flipped back against the head, slide a screwdriver blade behind it and flip it back out so you can slide the blade back on it.

Good luck

Have 1989 New Yorker, looks like a pin wiper blade replacement, but there is no place to snap off the cover over the pin.

i believe that this wiper is actually a hook type where you remove the whole blade assebly by pushing in the sides at the connection where the blade meets and then pulling down the whole wiper blade from the rod it connects to(in other words if you pull the wiper blade upright and away from the window you actually pull the whole blade assembly doown towArds the hood)

Rear wiper blades

No...blade comes off end of arm... If in doubt, most "supermarket" style parts outlets will put it on for free.
