My manual says (Under #2 of the "AdvaNTAAGES OF THIS mODEL" THAT "tHIS PORTABEL AIR CONDITIONER DOES NOT REATER TO ABE REMOVED" #3 says "The unit has a unique design which evaporated the water. Therefore there is no condensation tank and no need to empty a tank overnight" So why do I have to keep emptying it every hour r so?

How rude! Yes, I realize my typijng if off; but as I am nearly blind it poses a difficulty.

As you do not seem to be able to help me with my problem; I would like you to cancel that credit card payment. Please advise when that has been done

Air Conditioners also act as dehumidifiers; if your climate is humid it is normal to collect that much water

You offered to pay for immediate response to your question, You simply question if it is normal for your AC unit to collect 1-1/2 cups of water every hour. I provided an answer, it is normal to collect that volume of water. Your payment should not be refunded, as your question was answered

No there is supposed to be a drain tube that goes outside you have to plumb it in, there should be a plug or fitting in the catch tray for the water.

well you could have mentioned that, but not completely sure what u are saying due to spelling, but if the unit is supposed to evaporate the water produced by condensation then unless you have very high humidity it has a problem and should be serviced

I have a portable air conditioner that has started beeping and shutting off. Then I drain it and turn it back on. It lasts maybe an hour and then I have to do the same thing again.

Helen, your air conditioner should drain by itself. Your a/c should
tilt slightly to the outside of the house but not tilt to the inside. Check your drain and your drain tube and make sure they are open.

Leeking water a lot

Condensate water accumulates in the evaporator. There is a tube that drains the water out of the evaporator to the condenser side where the fan picks it up or an external drain. The tube is plugged. It needs to be cleaned out.

My Haier Commercial Cool A/C says "STOP" as an error message and won't turn on.

Bring it outside or to your tub and tip it on a 45 degree angle some water will drip out...once a puddle has come out of this thing it will work again but u will need to properly drain it eventually unless u wanna tip it and drain it every few days. But thats what ive been doing with mine...

Water is coming out the front of our window air conditioner. it drips constantly. the air conditioner cools great. when you turn the air conditioner off, the water just pours out the front of the air...

This can be caused by the drain hole in the drain pan (under the unit) is clogged or the unit does not have enough rear downward tilt to allow the water to flow to the rear of the pan and out thru the drain hole. The general rule of thumb is 1/4" to 1/2" downward tilt at the rear of the unit.

The drain hole can be hard to find, sometimes. As the clog will blend in with the hole. Persistence and patience help a lot in searching for it. A pipe cleaner works well to clear the clog.

Hope this has helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Danby dpac 10071 air conditioner is not cooling. a red light is on next to an icon with a full cup. Does anyone know how to make it cool?

That indicates that the water collection bucket is full and needs to be drained. Once the unit is turned OFF, unplugged and drained, the unit will start up and start cooling again. The drain hole is on the rear of the unit, just above floor level. You can either drain it in a shallow sided pan capable of holding 1 quart of water. Or roll it to a floor drain or outside to drain it.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.
