Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary

SOURCE: My RM-YD028 Sony BRAVIA Remote

Remove the batteries from the remote and wait 5 minutes or more. After waiting, insert the batteries again. The remote should now work. If it's still not working, the remote is probably defective. If that is the case, please contact Sony Customer Support, which will be able to assist you in getting a replacement issued.

I need to know how to use rm ed007 remote to set up my sony dvd to play on sony bravia tv

The "rm ed007" remote that you mentioned is most likely a universal remote control, which can be programmed to control multiple devices, including your Sony DVD player and Sony Bravia TV.
To program the remote to control your Sony DVD player, you can follow these steps:
  1. Turn on your Sony DVD player.
  2. Locate the code for your Sony DVD player in the code list provided with the universal remote.
  3. Press and hold the "Code Search" or "Setup" button on the universal remote until the indicator light turns on.
  4. Enter the code for your Sony DVD player using the number buttons on the remote.
  5. Test the buttons on the remote to make sure that they are controlling the Sony DVD player as expected.

I got a brand new sensor put in my sony bravia kdl 32l500 and my remote model y0922021765 still wont work how do I reprogram it

Hi Stacy,
If you have replaced the sensor correctly and it is not working means either the remote control is not working or the TV is not responding. Please press any key on the remote control and see it through your mobile phone's camera. If the remote control is working you will see the IR led flashing. Secondly, if the TV is not responding please check the voltage on the legs of the sensor, if you are handy with a multi meter and let me know.

I've had my Sony Bravia 52EX701 for over 3 years. We have two remote controls. The main one we use is through our older Bose Home Theater System to control the TV, etc. The Bravia remote is also activ

Maybe there has been a disconnect with the TV recognizing the code of the remotes? Or, maybe you pressed a button on the remote that will not allow it to change the channels. I've done this in the past where I accidentally pressed, say the TV or DVD button, and when I turned the TV on and tried to tune in channels, the TV would not respond. Pressing the cable button (but that is on my remote) returned the remote to its ability to change the channels. You will just have to do trial n' error.

Bravia kdl52ex700 volume control doesn't work

Look for any jammed buttons on remote, any obstruction like a sticker or gum on the sensor on the TV. If you have such obstructions, the TV will respond only partially.

My RMF-GD001 operates everything except the tv. I own a Sony Bravia XBR46-45 tv connected to a sony surround sound system

I had the same problem.

My Bravia LCD TV wasn't responding to its remote RMF-GD001 although the remote works on the home entertainment unit. Lucky for me, I have an extended warranty and so I called for a service. Technician tested my remote and said that it's RF transmitter is spoilt. Little did I know that the remote has IR and RF transmitter and it will work on any devices that uses infra red transmission. But Bravia LCD TVs use the radio frequency transmission and that is where the problem is.

I had my $125 remote replaced FOC. :)

This reminds me to get a silicon case for the remote and to put it out of reach from my kids who like to drop things.

My Sony Bravia KDL-40D3000 no longer responds to the IR remote. I also have a 46 inch Bravia, and the remote does work with it. The front panel controls work okay. The remote worked for about 2 years, then...

Had the same problem. The infrared receiver quit working. Could not use the factory remote or the cable remote. Simple fix- I just cleaned the infrared receiver. Both remotes now working.

I have a sony bravia davhdx274 but i no longer

Yes, but you will have very limited control for internal adjustments.
You can purchase a new remote from www.remotes.com
or 1-(800)REMOTES and they will ship it to you within 5 days.

Good Luck !

Remote control

Did you put fresh batteries in? I know that is "obvious" but it is a common mistake to expect the included batteries to always be good.
