I bet you could buy a new manual online. The nice thing about that too, is that you could probably buy an electronic version of it. That would be nice because then you wouldn't lose it. Some trigger valves (tva6) are sensitive (defective?) however there are some things you can try to change how the gun acts. I have noticed that the brand of oil has an effect on the orings. Some brands will swell the orings, I like Paslode nail gun oil. Do not wash the gun with gasoline or wd40. Use diesel. Change the nail depth setting one position. Lowering the air pressure will make a difference. I find that most operators use too much pressure. A stronger safety spring under the trigger will separate the trigger and firing pin quicker. Finally you could use single fire trigger. Good luck
replace trigger valve assembly aka tva 6 you can get aftermarket ones fairly cheap that are just as good. it is fairly easy to do, usually takes about 10-15 min, lots of how to on you tube look under bostitch rn46 trigger
The bostitch nailer pictured along along with your question is a RN46 roofing coil nailer. It has a dial on the front of the nose for adjusting depth. Some older nailers (roofing nailers) do no have a means of adjusting so were set at the factory for best performance. The question of depth usually comes up when lower bumper fails and the nail is driven too deep. Easy test. Remove nails and find a very soft piece of wood. Dry fire the gun against soft wood and measure how deep the driver is entering the wood. Harder test. Remove the head and use any handy tool to push driver down to bottom. Measure how far the driver extends past nose (should be about 1/8 to 3/16). If more, replace the lower bumper. Good luck
if u are right nails for gun, then make sure when u put coil in and feed in front of firing pin the nails are straight with pin and connecting wires are not bent causing nails to fall out of alingnment.
