One of three things can stop a dryers element, from heating up. the big red wire going to the motors relay switch could be burned off, that is on the back of the motor itself. two, the element or the wirers conected to it have bad contacts. three the safety thermal cutout devices, have open circuts do to some sort of blockage in the vent pipe.

One of three items:if this is a 240volt unit, chk for 120/240 volts at main house panel and again at unit, then chk for bad element(s)(open),hi-temp cutout, and also the neutral wire on a 240 volt unit can burn off,you need the neutral wire for element(s) to operate

Blowing cold air

This model dryer has two heating elements, one for the top and one for the bottom, I suspect that the bottom element is burned out. If you want to attempt it yourself then I can send you a service manual that will walk you step by step through the whole dryer.

2004 camry ac light blinking and throws hot air. Suggestions?

My 2003 Toyota Camry AC often starts blowing hot air and the AC light starts blinking. I don't know why the following process works, but it does. Using the temp selector (left) reduce the temperature all the way down to Max Cold and then push the Auto button. It will start blowing out very cold air. After a little while push the temp selector to the desired temperature.

My dryer turns on but throughs out cold air

In most cases, a failure to heat is caused by a blown thermal fuse or high limit thermostat. Usually it is the fuse, but the fuse may be blown due to a defective thermostat. To find the location on yourspecific machine (and purchase the parts) try www.appliancepartspros.com To test the fuse, WITH THE MACHINEUNPLUGGED, put an ohmmeter or continuity tester across the fuse with it's wires unhooked. It should have continuity. If it is open, replace it. If the thermal fuse blows, it is fairly common to find the dryer vent partially blocked as well. Make sure it is clear. Thermal fuses are fairly cheap, but you don't want to have to replace it every other week.

Dryer doesn't throw hot air

The heating element have got old and brittle over time and finally gave up the ghost. But it is not always the element. It could be one of the safety Hi-limits have blown. All parts of the dryer will have continuity if its working properly. Test for continuity by using a meter set on Ohms,or use a poor man's meter. You can make your own poor man's meter by using an ordinary flashlight . Break the circuit in the flashlight and add a couple of wires to it so that you can make the light come on in the flashlight, that's right hot wire that flashlight. When the bulb lights up you have a circuit! You now have a poor man's meter. The next step is to check each little gizmo on the dryer that the wires attach to. All the limits attached to the side of the heat element, the door switch (when door is closed) etc.should have continuity (closed circuit)(the light should come on in the poor man's meter) If you come across an thing near the blower housing with 2 wires attached to it, that is a thermal limit, a safety or a control thermostat (So as not to get a false circuit you need to remove one of the wires to each thing you check) Look for lint buildup or blocked vent going out the house. If everything is good and you have paid the electric bill, then the timer could be bad.

Air Conditioner blows very hot air

ASE mechanic here:
sounds like a mode door is stuck causing the air flow to go across the heater core only and not the evaporator. try activating the hot to cold functions to may be un stick the doors. if no changes then try a computer scanner, these new cars can have HVAC control codes and be accessed with a scanner, telling you the problem. if no access to that a good European shop is the next best thing. They might be cheaper than a Porsche dealer.

Conia CCD4501 cloths dryer not blowing hot air anymore

If you can turn it on and have the door open, hold the door switch in and see if you have a glow from the heating element. If not, your element is broken. That is if it is an electric dryer. If it is a gas dryer you need to check the pilot light or the thermo sensor.

My ac turns on but it only throws hot air it used to throw it cold a few days ago, whats the problem?

Adding a can of freon is not the solution, a system that has too much freon will not work right and there is a chance that you will damage the compressor.
There are low pressure and high pressure switches at work when the system is operating.
You might have a bad switch, leaves or other matter blocking the front condenssor.
Is the system actually full?
It's best to give this problem to a certified A/C mechanic.
