My washing machine, Kenmore is leaking water, apparently from the bottom. All hoses secure & dry. I have used clean washer cycle twice, checked the filter and drain hose. Cannot find problem.

SOURCE: Washer leaking water from bottom

MIne did and it was the bleach container on the top that was getting clogged and leaking over, we actually drilled the hole a bit bigger and cleaned it all out and it stopped. I've had to take the whole top of the washer off to do this about 2-3 times now.

SOURCE: Washer leaking water from bottom

You may want to check the seal at the bottom of the agitator, there is a o-ring that keeps the water in the drum from leaking through the agitator as it spins. This is a cheap seal and will wear over a period of time from exposure to bleach and detergent. You need to take the agitator apart and remove it from the drum and you should see this seal at the base of the agitator were it meets the drum.

Replace the seal and reassemble, take the metal casing off the washer and fill the drum with a little water, wait, and see if the water is leaking under the drum. If no leak, try to reassemble and run the washer. If is still leaks then check http://www.applianceaid.com/genew.html

SOURCE: LG front load washer OE error. cleaned filter need

The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

LG themselves have some information on this error code..

Kenmore Washer only leaking from one area

Ive never worked on a Kenmore but it may just be the overflow outlet. All washing machines have an overflow which will dump water out from the top of the tub if it overfills but sometimes on high fill water level, clothes can splash around and cause a "wave" of water to splash out over the overflow outlet. Check to see if the leak only occurs when you have selected high level fill.

I was getting the F H error code on my washer. I hit cancel twice to clear the code to see of a cycle restart would remedy. Now the wash cycle is stuck on 45 min. remaining & the cancel button is no...

The FH error code on your Kenmore Elite washing machine is an indicator that there is a problem with incoming water. When there is little water coming into the machine, the FH code will appear and the washer will stop. There are a couple of common problems you can check while you are resetting the FH error code. You will need to remove the power supply to the washer to reset the code.

  • 1 Look for the "Pause/Cancel" button on the washer control panel. The button will be below the digital time clock and to the lower right of the wash cycle selector.

  • 2
Press the "Pause/Cancel" button twice to cancel the wash cycle. Unplug the Kenmore Elite washer from the wall outlet.

  • 3 Check for kinks in the water supply hose while the washer does not have power. Turn off the water supply spigots and remove the hoses from the back of the washer. Check the port screens at the hose connections for sediment buildup and clean as necessary.

  • 4
Connect the water supply hoses back to the washer and turn on the water spigots. Plug the washer cord back into the wall outlet.

  • 5
Select the wash cycle and press the "Start" button.

During the wash cycle of the 24" combo washer dryer, it leaked

A hose inside the washer is your most likely culprit. On older whirlpool washers they used a plastic hose to run from the pump to the back case of the machine that was pretty susceptible to cracking.

    Very damp smell

Make sure there are no leaks from the machine. look behind it and check the water inlet hose and connectors for any damage. Also look under the machine for any water as this may indicate a leak from the internal hose and pipe work and / or water pump. Also check that the outlet hose is completely clear of debris and soap scum build up and check that the filter is clean.

To keep the machine clean of waste build up and to keep any bad odours away
    1. Remove all items from the washer.
    2. Open the dispenser drawer and 2/3 cup (160 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment. DO NOT use more than 2/3 cup (160mL) of bleach per cycle as this will lead to product damage.
    3. Close the washer door and dispenser drawer.
    4. Select the Clean Washer cycle or a full wash cotton 104 F wash (40 C). DO NOT use any higher temperature as this will cause unnecessary fumes
    5. Press Start and allow cycle to complete.
    6. After the cycle is complete, leave the door open slightly to allow ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
    7. Repeat the cleaning procedure monthly
