Question about Jenn-Air SCE30600 Slide-In Electric Kitchen Range

-FC- and probe flashing

My oven continually flashes "probe" which is not so bad because I can still cook. but sometimes it will continually flash "-FC-" which is bad because then I can't cook. What should I do?

Jenn-Air SCE 30600, oven error codes F1 and Probe

An F-1 error code on your model means the element was energized when it should not have been, A shorted interconnect harness or failed power relay board.

A probe indication could be a failed meat probe jack or bad harness in a unit that has one. In a unit without a meat probe, suspect a bad board.

Both conditions would warrant bringing in a tech.

Before you do, turn off the circuit breaker fot 3 miutes and turn it back on. This will reboot the boards. If problem persists, the call a service tech.

Oven will not unlock

Fault Codes
“Bake” or “Lock” may flash rapidly in the display to alert you if
there is an error or a problem. If “Bake” or “Lock” flash in the
display, press CANCEL pad. If “Bake” or “Lock” continue to
flash, disconnect power to the appliance. Wait a few minutes,
and then reconnect power. If the flashing still continues,
disconnect power to the appliance and call an authorized

"FC" display

It has detected the door lock motor didn't respond. Check wiring to the motor. If wiring is ok then replace the door lock motor.

Range problem

the control bord may be bad or the receptical where the probe connects may be bad and grounding out agenst the body of the oven. I would remove the plug and make sure the wires are good and its not grounding out. If it checks out ok replacement of the control bord should solve the problem

Christina, FC means there is a communication error between your main power board and keyboard. There is a J2 harness that runs between them. You might try to reseat this harness. If that doesn't work the main board will have to be replaced. back.

Since Jenn-Airs codes are F1-F9, the cicuit board may be on the way out since the code resets after you turn it off for a while.
