Question about Computers & Internet
Hello, I have an IBM Thinkpad T-42. I have just installed Windows XP Professional from scratch and I'm in the process of trying to get networking going so I can access the Internet, etc. I have gone to the Lenova site, downloaded all the drivers for this system, and installed them. I installed the Ethernet drivers, wireless drivers, etc., etc. In spite of that, every time I restart my computer, it finds new hardware, the network adapter, the monitor, etc., etc.I do not have any CD I can put in for the computer to find the drivers from. I thought if I installed all these drivers, they would automatically be found. Is there anything you can do for me?
When you reboot and it finds the hardware point it to the directory you downloaded the drivers to for each device. Make sure that if they are zipped or compressed in any way you unpack them first. Place each driver in it’s own directory.
