SOURCE: replace rear swaybar bushings

Yes, it is quite easy. These bushings are a very common source of rear end rattles. Remove the bushing retainers, replace the bushing, and then the retainers and bolts. Torque is low, 14 ft-lb

How to replace lower ball joint on 1998 Honda CRV?

On a car this old, I would replace the whole lower arm, because the inner bushing is probably worn out, too. Much easier to do, so the cost of the part might be offset by the savings in labor. Just a few nuts and bolts and getting the ball joint to release from the knuckle with a few hammer hits.

The springs may look fine but one may be weak on that side. Also the shock obsorber may be weak. you need to get them checked.

The rear of my honda 03 crv clunks over bumps, the rear diff is mounted by 2 pancake type rubber bushings which seem to be worn but i am havind trouble finding these parts

check to see if your vehicle has a rear sway bar if it does then replace the end links and bushings they are usually the culprits of clunking noises and also check the rear shocks(or struts) for leaking or binding put your knee on the bumper and put all your weight in to pushing down on it and let it come back up on its own do this quickly with someone under it listening for the noise to present itself. If it was the rear drive axle mounting points this would also cause some handling issues.
