How do I unlock my units? - GPS

Hello. If you can't remember the unlock code, there is no master reset code. The unit must be sent in to Garmin to be unlock. Another way you can unlock it is by going to your Unlock location, the location where you first set your lock on your device and as long as you have satellite signal the unit will unlock. Other than that the unit has to be sent to garmin to be unlocked. You can call garmin customer service at 800-800-1020 to set that up.

If you are getting a message prompting you to enter the SIM Network Unlock PIN, then you would need the network unlock code for that phone.

Thanks for using FixYa. F29 is a door unlock error, this error occurs after the washer has made 6 attempts to unlock the door. Usually this occurs when the door lock mechanism is broken and/or the door switch/unit lock has failed. To resolve this issue you’ll need to check the door switch, door lock mechanism and the wire harness between the central control unit & door switch, replace the part that has gone bad. Enter your PIN number, or take the unit back to the "Security Location" and it will unlock by itself. You can then enter a new PIN unlock code.

If it is the garmin lock, then you need to take the unit to your sercure area, and the unit will unlock. This should be where ever it was you set up the unit.
If you don't remember either. Then the unit has to go back to Garmin to be unlocked.

If It is locked up (Software) then remove the faceplate and press the reser button.

Did you try to upgrade your Garmin with 2008 maps? If you have the map registration code then you will have to go to garmin's website and get an unlock code. You will need the registration code and also the unit serial number before you can get a new unlock code. The unlock code is base upon your unit serial number and will only work with that unit.

Garmin normally replace your unit with a refurbished unit. Yes call Garmin and ask for a new unlock code. Normally they provide a new registration ID (yellow piece of paper with the unlock code for the latest mapsource map and accessories which it also included with the refurbished unit.

Impossible to unlock without knowing the PIN or the location of the GPS when the PIN was activated.
