I had the same problem. They told me it had to be "reinitialized" To do so, press the auto-off, small, and large cup buttons simultaneously then release. All lights should go off. Unplug, replug, then press power and it should work again.

Perhaps more than one problem people are dealing with but here's what I found. The round float in the tank is magnetic so it's either activating some crappy mechanical switch or more likely a hall effect sensor. Remove the tank and dump the water so the float will rise from the bottom when you refill it. Take a good strong magnet and slide it around the side of the unit where the float would be, tapping it as you go. Put the tank back on and fill it. One try and I was back to making coffee.
