The Epson 3490 is a flatbed scanner that has an optional business card/4x6 photo auto feeder. Do you have the optional feeder attached & plugged into the correct connecter on the back of the scanner? I just finished scanning many 110 film strips. You need to lay the strip along the inside edge of slot A and scan in normal preview mode. On the preview strip, put a marquee around each individual photo and scan each one separately. Worked fine for me.
The new PC was Vista and the CD that came with the scanner completed loading a driver without complaint. However, a new driver was needed for Vista. After downloading the new driver from Epson, uninstalling the old driver and installing the new driver, it worked.
