Question about Frigidaire FAH085N1T Air Conditioner
The internal packaging on the new AC I bought that has to be removed is unclear. Should I cut out all the hard foam after I remove the front panel.Model FAM 157S1A Frigidaire

it is not obvious!! i just bought the same unit.the picture is not clear! the foam behind the radiator in the front looks like it is a part of the unit and should not be ripped out.i tore mine out and messed up the unit .it is either for noise reduction or a cooling box for the air ?? the manual is not clear.also why would they make a unit that you need to tear apart by removing factory installed assemblies to get at foam. this foam is engineered to fit perfectly around all the peaces and i say it stays! this is a very crappy problem that i blame the producer for not making crystal clear. i worked for a major tooling co for most of my life and i have never seen anything so un clear with the info they provide.
