Question about Hayward SAND FILTER, PRO SERIES
I have a Hayward S244T filter that is spraying water out both sides (front and back) of the flange that connects the valve to the tank. Is it more than an O-ring? Can I do it myself?
Just an o-ring and the 2-piece clamp that compresses the two pieces together.

If this is not an "O" ring problem then it is probally a crack in your B/W valve. If your are running more than a 3/4 HP pump on this filter the pressure may be to much for it. If you find this is the problem and you need to replace it. Make sure you set a 2" valve for replacement. This valve is heaver and will stand more pressure. Be sure to keep it out of the sun also as the UV will break down the plastic. Good luck.
