most wire feed problems stem from WF rollers, liners, clutch mechanism on the reel, or contact tip, very rearly on the torch, Torch units are cheap enough and come in a wide range and lenghs, avoid long length cables unless nessasary. you can obtain a drawing of torches from the torch manufacturers

SOURCE: I have put my hayward 710 multiport valve assembly

Place valve on ground, sit in chair and place feet on top of valve. Press down evenly and the spring will compress. Insert pin in one side of handle then tap in lightly with hammer until even.

I have a wagner power painter 355E and the directions said to put oil in the 2 holes in the gun. Where are the 2 holes?

Where the raised tips of the tubing goes into the gun,
directions state ,"Apply a light coat of oil."Tip sprayer up side down (so handle is sticking up) and the underside where the two holes where the ditting dual hose go in there: This is where you put a small amount of oil into both holes and trigger the sprayer briefly

When I try to **** my gun, the valve makes a cracking noise, and doesn't move.

Sounds like it is put together wrong. Take it apart and follow the diagram to put it back together
or head to your local shop and have them help you. Make sure to oil the internals.
Here is your manual.

Hi there, I have a Campbell Hausfeld air gun (drill?)... I opened it to clean it and have put it together but there is now an air leak from the trigger which was not there (the tool was working fine). Can...

ok sounds like you've pinched an o-ring in the trigger assembly. dissassemble the gun again and look for a torn or pinched o-ring. when reassembling the tool make sure you put some grease on the seals and other moving components to avoid these kinds of problems. if the o-ring is torn you can take the old one to most any local parts place and they will have a big box of o-rings and usually just let you match the old one with a new one and sell you what u need.

oh and it doesn't really matter what kinda of grease u use just dont use penetrating oil ( like wd-40 or 3-in-1 oil ) or it will soak into the seals and reduce the life of your seals, motor oil or any standard bearing grease should do the trick

Help I have a bostitch N80 coil nailer that leaks from the main part that is held together by the 4 allen bolts, I have checked the tightness and when i re tighten them the leak stops for a while then...

neil
there is an oring gasket that fits in the groove of the N79 N80series coil nailers. It is easily pinched if not put together correctly. Use a lightweight grease in the groove to hold the oring in place upon assembly.

I have never used my Cobra 8000 but need to use it immediately to post signs in my neighborhood re a dog I found. I opened the box, and there were no instructions. I have the gun and some staples. I can't...

The bottom portion of the stapler (the opposite side of where the staples discharge) should squeeze together and pull out, load staples tip up and reinsert the follower until it clicks.  Put on sign post and squeeze the handle.
Hope this helps

My model 12 pump 12 gauge is stuck in the bolt open postion.

Should take it to a gunsmith, but if you want to loosen it yourself, get some spray gun cleaner, or even gun oil (light) and put it inside as much as possible, keeping in mind that it may be loaded with a stuck cartridge(point in safe direction at ALL times). Loosen with the lubricant, open action up and inspect throughly. If there is a cartidge in it, discard safely, as the lube may have ruined it and an old cartridge may be unsafe. If you can get the action open, try to clean out possible corrosion with swabs and q-tips soaked in the lube. Depending on how it was stored all this time, you may have to disassemble and lube more completely. Google the name and model number to try to find diagrams or assembly help.
The best thing is to take it to an "old-timer" who is familiar with older shotguns and have them inspect it, or take it to a gun show or shop.
Treat it as Loaded until you can prove otherwise by opening the action! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIRE!

ASSEMBLY

I just had to repair one of these guns for work. It's a bit tricky, seeing as you are dealing with springs and such...but it can be done. Take your time ...don't set the springs until you have things set in place and lined up. Make sure the pins are in place. Set the flat spring first (it is the toughest) while the handle is depressed all the way in. Gently open the handle and then set the torsion spring. Take your time here...springs are set and they could make all the pieces fly out if you don't quickly get the other half put on it. Hope this helps.8d59edb.jpg
