I would assume the power board has a problem. A tech could possibly repair it without replacing the whole board.

you have tript the trap switch. there is one in he panel and one in the media reciever.you have to enter the technicians code followed by pressing the mute button 4 times then the display button. this should reset the trap switch.i presume you have put the cover back on. if not you must tie down the trap switch which you will see facing up

Good afternoon, I need to reset the lock key to the factory default inorder to change channel ro channel 3 on a pioneer PDP-427-CMX plasma tv. Primarily used for cctv.

To make it a factory reset, you have to enter its service mode option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.
NB: Please read and understand well, the instructions to enter the service mode, before you begin. Be very careful. Note how to "EXIT" the service mode; after entering and adjusting data. This is very important.
Type in the brand name and type of your device, in the search box [at the top right] of the home page; to get the related posts easily.

Hi, I have a Pioneer Plasma and PDP-R06G Media

The Media Receiver is the tuner/connector selector box.
If the top is removed the Media Box goes into shut down mode. It requires resetting by a Pioneer Authorised Service tool.

Lost the color on my pioneer 50 inch tv

Hello
Your Tv may be misadjusted by any way I thinks. Set all the modes to factory defaults. To set it to factory defaults do the folloing:

1 Press HOME MENU
2 Select "Option with (UP or DOWN button then ENTER)
3 Select RESET with (UP or DOWN button then ENTER)

confirmation screen appears. Press [ => or then press ENTER

This process will reset all the parameters to factory set levels. You have to adjust the Parential controls and other parameters by yourself later.
OK

PIONEER PDP-R06U / PRO-R06U MEDIA RECEIVER SERVICE

Hey,
This may be too late...
I got it from the field manual.

Trap Switch Reset Procedure
G-4, G-5, G-6, G-7, G-8
• Replace media receiver, plasma panel cover, or tape down HDCP trap switch.
If the model in question has the TV Guide option, the TV Guide
option must be turned off before proceeding.
• Using the customer’s remote control enter “service mode” by pressing the
following key sequence:
1. Press the “display” button then release the “display” button.
2. Wait between 3 and 7 seconds
3. Press and release the “<”, “^”, “<”, “>”, and “power” buttons in sequence.
• Panel will now turn on in “service mode”.
4. Press “muting” button 3, 4 or 5 times depending on model you are working on.
Until the display shows the “initialize” page.
5. Press and hold the “display” button until the error indicator (red LED) on
either the panel or the media receiver goes out.
6. Exit service mode by pressing the “power” button on the remote.

I had to try it a couple of times before I got it to work. I.m not too sure how to turn off the tv guide mode. I just held it in for a couple of sec,s.

Good luck
