Question about Dryers

2 Answers

The dryer makes a loud grinding clattering noice when its on. We just moved it across the country. It was working fine before we left. The one that was here is squeaking and can run for several cycles before the clothes are finally dry. Which one would be easiest to fix? And how do you do it?

Took the back off the dryer and cleaned out a bunch of lint and metal items that had wedged themselves in around the barrel and belt.

Try opening the door and seeing if the drum has shifted and is rubbing on the frt panel somewhere,it may have just shifted off the drum glides or bearing seat/the other one sounds as if the element is open(bad)if the other one heats fine,if both take long periods to dry clothes, ckeck for 120/240 at the main house panel and again same at dryer outlet plug-in receptacle

I recently moved & prior 2 moving the dryer ran fine. After the move when I hooked the dryer up & turned it on it makes a loud sound almost some kind of grinding or alarm. It then shuts itself off....

Loud grinding noice before starting to print

Mine makes a grinding noise when scanning or making copies. As long as everything is working, I just tolerate the noise in which the rest of the staff find amusing at first and then ignore it as I do.

Grinding noice

more then likely that the pump has some kind of blockage in it this will cause the washer not to empty fully which when it goes onto spin it will bang about due to the water going from side to side check the pump will be underneath just were the drain hose goes into the washer you will have to strip to get the blockage out once done it should work fine m8
