Question about Computers & Internet
Thanks for using FixYa. The problem is with the printer head. It might have been occurred while replacing the cartridge, the tape on the cartridge, which releases the ink, has been pulled accidentally. Please replace the cartridge which will resolve the issue you are facing with.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Usually reinstalling the printers software and performing a head clean and realignment with the freshly installed software solves the problem.
If you uninstall the original software first then restart the PC and install the software and drivers.
You should have got a software and driver CD with the printer so it would be a good idea if you locate that before you start.
If for some reason you end up with the same result, take out the cartridges and clean the heads (brass contacts under the cartridges) and the compartment they sit in either with a clean, warm damp cloth or rubbing alcohol, then reseat them and try to clean the heads with the printers software.
If after all this the result is the same there could be a chance that the ink jets on the printer have come to the end of their life and the printer will need replacing.
If you need anymore help or advice please feel free to post back.
