Question about Razer Lachesis 4000 dpi Gaming Mouse
Alright, so I have been using a Razer Lachesis for about six months now, and all has been fine until the other day it just completely stopped responding (I'm running an HP with vista). It also seems that no other mice will work with my computer, just the pad. I've tried reinstalling the software, drivers, restarting, system restoring to a point before the problem twice, scanning for viruses and malware, and running a registry scan and nothing works. When plugged in the mouse just flashes once and doesn't respond. It's starting to become a problem. Help?

Greetings, I had this problem occasionally as well. Except I have the Habu instead of the lachesis. I fixed mine however, when I saw my cordless (yes, i keep it plugged in at the same time) Had been knocked off its charger by someone. When I replaced it (preventing outside interference form it) The problem with my migratory cursor was fixed. I see this was posted a couple months ago, but hopefully this helps some.

I think that cable of your razer is broken and some cables are shortcircuited, don't plug it in computer, you could ruin your motherboard. If you want your mouse working and have some technical skills, buy some usb cable with same plug as mouse have and replace it

YOUR USB ROOT HUB MAY BE IN HIBERNATION. GO TO DEVICE MANAGER IN CONTROL PANEL AND RIGHT CLICK ON EACH USB ROOT HUB ....GO TO PROPERTIES AND UNCHECK ENERGY SAVING MODE.....ALSO CHECK POWER OPTIONS IN CONTROL PANEL AND UNCHECK HIBERNATION OPTION.....THIS SORTED OUT MY RAZER LACHESIS THAT WAS NOT BEING PICKED UP BY WINDOWS..

Use 409... not Windex
Get a NEW toenail/fingernail manicure set ($1.09 at a dollar store) ...
Use cotton swabs (Q-TIPS) etc.

This can be a complex problem, First try plugging the mouse into a different computer to see if the problem is only with the current computer. After that try going to Razers website and downloading device drivers for windows (or mac). Hopefully that will allow your computer to detect the mouse. Also make sure that the laser for the mouse is working (it may be hard to see on performance mouses, but look carefully for a red dot).
