Hi,
Check your power supply. If the power supply works but your computer does not work then yea...it's history. Next time get a surge protector.

(search google on how to test the power supply out of your machine).

Acer AM1100-E1304a do not start.

Try removing the battery. It may be the battery is eating all the power that the supply can produce, leaving nothing to run the computer. That could happen with a shorted cell or a completely dead battery. IF the power supply you are using is the correct one for your laptop.

this issue could mean you have a dead battery and may need to buy a new one or you have a dead main board, have you tried having the laptop on A/C power and have the battery out of the laptop?

How to turn on

There is a power button on the keyboard. Just press it. If it doesn't power up that would indicate that the battery is dead and needs to be recharged. If you have the power cord there plug it in. Wait ten minutes and then start the computer while it is plugged in. If you are not sure which button is the power button look for one does not have a letter or number and then just push one at a time until it powers up. you can't harm the computer by pushing one button at time. good luck with it.
