Hello, There is quite a bit of info I would need prior to solving your problem: 1) is the sound card built-into *********** board, or is it a separate card (or do you know)? 2) What is the model number and manufacturer of *********** board? 3) What is the model number and manufacturer of the sound card (if it is a separate card)? 4) Were you using Windows 7 prior to the reformat, or was this an upgrade? 5) Was sound working prior to the reformat? With these bits of info, you problem can be solved if in fact your sound was working prior to your reformatting your drive.

we need to know what you are trying to fix you have no model or make here. was this a format and install of a different os, ie. win xp to win 7? if so you may not find the driver. try looking on the motherboard mfg. for the driver for win 7.

Always use drivers from the board manufacturer, not through another source.
Have you tried checking for updated software for the motherboard ensuring it is supported by your OS.

You'll need to access the computer manufacturer's support site to find the appropriate 64-bit driver for this chipset. If you post the make/model of computer I can probably assist with that.

Hope that's helpful.

After upgrading from Vista Home Premium 32 to Windows 7 Home Premium 32 I have terrible blurry text and get headaches. My display is a Vizio HDTV 20'' and I have NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT display adapter....

the problem is because the VGA driver has not been installed. The VGA driver for Vista is different from that of Win 7. Running the upgrade also could cause the problem.

Back up all your important files, and re-run the win 7 afresh. You have to re-run by inserting the win 7 cd into your Cd drive, restart your system and allow it boot from CD and not running from windows.

In the process of the installation, format your hard drive and allow the installation to complete.

After then, install the drivers like; Sound, vga, etc and do windows update. After the windows update, your display will be unique.

Take care.
