Could be overheating.
Suggest you check the Processor Fan is working, usually you can hear it.
If it stays on longer when starting from cold then that could indicate fan trouble.
Most PCs have onboard sensors which can be monitored by programs like Speedfan see http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php then click on SpeedFan 4.39

The hard drive has failed or is not hooked up right. Check the BIOS to see if it is noted as being present. If not, replace it.

Location of cmos in shuttle
the CMOS battery is on the motherboard. it is the size of a quarter dollar, silver is color and it look almost the same like the watch battery

So were you able to replace your Shuttle PSU with the iStarUSA CP-01040? I would like to do the same thing as the weak little 250W supply mine came with (and the 300W upgrade as well) just doesn't have enough amps on the +12V rails for the video card I want. Thanks! Sean
