Question about ViewSonic VA712B 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor
You'll need another monitor or another computer to be sure. Although I suspect that capacitors in the monitor power supply are going bad. If you have another monitor then connect it to the computer. If everythings OK then it is the monitor that's bad. If the same symptoms appear then the HP video card is failing.
