Hi tommya300 thanks for getting back to me I am unsure exactly what you mean by "between the grove of the mated panels" After I remove the 4 screws from the bottom I can gently pull the rose perspex frame away from the back but it seems as though it is held by something halfway up each of the sides but no sign of screws

Care is to be taken? these cases are engineered sometimes with interlocking panels see if you can wedge a a single edge razor blade between the grove of the mated panels and wiggle it see if it moves a little.
If so work it around using danty steps to find the interlocking area the rest is the tought part which one is the release side.

You found what I tried to describe this spot you say is holding is the interlocking design someting like cupping your fingers partly of both hand and handshaking them .

It is all in the plastic molding. This is the area youy need to really visualize as you move them apart.

PROBLEM WITH LCD MONITOR SAMSUNG SYNCMASTER 540 N, SOMETIMES BE THE SAME WITHOUT BLANK SIGN, AFTER 20 MINUTES OF OFF AGAIN FOR A SMOOTH RUNNING TIME UNCERTAIN.

It more likely to have bad caps with domed tops in the power supply section, very common problem in all LCD TV and monitors.
See examples here: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/SAMSUNG/
If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/

I have dell E170S lcd monitor. there are some kind of dust look like pixel some are small some are much bigger and it is so irritating for viewing. i want to clean those dust from my lcd. those dust are...

They are probally attracted to the light inside, do not smash them while they are inside. I hope they are not roaches (im not saying that they are). Try putting a another light outside of the monitor (turn off your monitor) and hopefully they will follow that light and leave. I'm sorry but that's the only thing I can think of, because you don't want to go messing around insite that monitor. I hope this helps Khalid.

The plastic case also has latches along the sides, top and bottom. Take a small flat blade screwdriver and go between the 2 halves of the case. The 2 pieces should open just a bit, now move the screwdrivers along the seam between the 2 halves. about every 2-4 inches there is a clip that needs to be released. You can release it by applying a small amount of pressure by each clip and moving down to the next one while pulling the case apart.

How to start disassemble LG flatron W2242TT

Taken from the LG Service Manual for the Flatron 2243/2343:327a726.jpg

The trick is to do this all without cracking any of the small tabs inside. I used this method to remove the case to my Samsung monitor, too, so it may be useful for many different makes and models of monitor. Good luck :D

How do I open a samsung 740N LCD Monitor

Lift the front frame. You must try to lift it from the inner side using your fingers (no tools , you may scratch the lcd panel). A little force is necessary especially at the corners. Once you lift the panel from all four sides then the corners will come out.

Note: A common problem with this monitor is the psu. A small number of capacitors fails. You will notice 3 electrolytic capacitors have been deformed and if there is no power you will find a small 3A fuse (looks like a resistor) blown.
