We have two of these projection TVs. One of them does not have as clear a picture as the other. Is this time to replace the bulb(s)?
Clean the mirror, lens and screen.if the tv is losing brightness then it time to change the lamp.cleaning is required on all dlps and vacuum out the vents ,filter and chassis which
reqires the back to be removed.

SOURCE: I have a PT-47WX53.
You do not have to worry about lamps in this unit as it does not use one. This perticular uses CRT's like the ones you look at with a standard Tube set. There are three picture tubes RED GRN BLUE, There is no parts needed for your television that are consumer replaceable. The only required maintence need is cleaning and Convergence Alignment, Conv alignment is the line up of the all there screens for picture clarity. you may find this alignment in customer mode in your menu.
\A more percise is in service mode in which technicians use for fine alignment.
