Try resoldering the flyback transformers connections on the board. Its very common for the flyback pins to develope cracks around the pins which can cause that issue. I would check that first with that model.
the flyback... very common for the ge version of the rca it222 you may also have to replace the horizontal output transistor. i have found at the shop the flyback and the transistor ussally all that have to replace
