My flash stopped working on my nikon coolpix L110..

The Nikon Coolpix is a compact digital camera that is well-suited for amateur to semi-professional photographers. Occasionally, some issues with the built-in flash can occur. If the hardware is damaged, the camera must be taken in for repairs. More often, problems occur because of obstructions or issues with the camera's settings and are easily repairable. Follow the troubleshooting guide to fix the built-in flash.

1.Ensure the Nikon Coolpix digital camera battery is fully charged.
2.Wait several seconds before pressing the shutter-release button if the "Flash Ready" indicator light is flashing red. Press the "Flash Mode" button once or twice to change the flash settings from "Off" to "On" or "Auto" if the "Flash Ready" indicator light is off.
3.Ensure there are no obstructions, like your finger or the camera strap, that are preventing the flash from firing if an error message appears on the display screen and the flash is not firing when the flash mode is set to automatic.
4.Press the flash back into the camera after every photo to ensure the flash always fires in "Auto" mode instead of just in low illumination settings. Press the flash back into the camera to turn off the flash in "Manual" mode; otherwise the flash will continually fire.
5.Change the auto focus setting from "Infinity" to "Auto," "Macro Closeup" or "Self-Timer" by pressing the "Focus Mode" button once, twice or three times to automatically turn the flash back on.
6.Use only Nikon external flash accessories to avoid damage to the built-in flash and camera circuits.

I hope you find it very helpful. Thanks.

Built in flash dosen't pop up

5 error is a mirror return error.

The reason or this error message is that the mirror not is returning after a shot. To normalize the camera, a second press on the trigger button is necessary. 4. Note that all functions operate perfect, and the mirror slides smooth in its trace.

The 5 error often happens when using 3rd party lenses (Sigma, Tamron, etc.) which cause incompatibility problems. Were you using a non-Canon lens?

Also clean all contacts with a pencil eraser. Do this with your battery contacts as well and try fresh batteries.

When I try to take a flash photo I hear a repeated click followed by an 05 error code saying 'the built-in flash's auto pop-up was obstructed.' As as I can see, nothing is obstructing it. I opened the...

This is a mechanical problem probably due to some sand or such material preventing the smooth opening. Try cleaning the open flash hinges with a cloth or brush. Apply a compressed-air can spray and/or a vacuum cleaner nozzle to the area. This happened to me with the Canon Rebel model. Google for the problem specific to your camera model for other solution.

When taking pic an "err 05" (the built in flash was obstructed). On this camera eos Digital Rebel xti 400D. How do fix this?

The obstruction is often caused by the interior latch which refuses to move. If the flash cover ever opens, move the latch back and forward a few times which "sort of" re-engages it to its normal position.

I have a Canon EOS400D. Every time I try to take a flash photo there is a repeated clicking sound with error message 5 saying, "the built-in flash's auto pop-up was obstructed" yet I don't see anything...

The flash up switch is not working properly. It probably just needs to be disassembled and cleaned. About a $125 repair at most shops.
Hope this helps.

The flash on my Canon EOS 400D won't work

Can you pull it up manually, Be careful when doing this but try opening it manually, it is possible that the catch for the flash is just stuck temporarily.

Canon Camera Rebel XTi reads error 05 and the flash will not pop up

Err 05 means: Something obstructed the built-in flash's pop-up operation. Turn off the main switch and turn it on again.

Prepare to press the flash request button with your left hand. With your right hand, position your thumb and finger to gently pry up the flash head, perhaps using fingernails. Push the button and pry. With that help, it should pop up.

Built-in flash auto pop-up problem

Does the 'pop up' pop up? If it does and still says obstructed- closes it and pop it again If it still persists Canon customer support will advise the next move. If a repair price seems high you could perhaps get a separate flash if the camera accepts them.
