It prints gibberish before the print job.

Before a print job, printer prints a page every single time with characters (heart, smiley, etc.) on top of the page. When I send a print job, it looks like it is going to print, it runs for a while than it stops and spits out a page with characters and then it prints the real job. It wastes a lot of paper and time. Any help would be great. Thanks,

I have had this happen before, this could be you need to change the drum kit on the printer itself, check the indicator light.

I print out 1 single document of bar code , but the printer wont stop

The print job is not formatting properly for your printer. It keeps corrupting and will cause the printer to spit out multiple pages with either gibberish or unusual fonts of varying size. You may need to recheck the software you've written the bar codes and make sure your using the correct code 39 font to create your barcodes.

How to stop printing

While your question is not quite clear, I will provide a couple of suggestions. Usually when you press the cancel button, it pauses the printer and then you must use the arrow keys to select cancel job and then press the checkmark. Also check any computers to make sure that they do not have a job in their print queue. If the printer does not send back a job complete command, sometimes the computer will keep resending the job. Failing all else, restart your computer and your printer. Are the pages that are printing gibberish or is it the correct print job? If gibberish, you might have a corrupted print driver or the file you are printing might be corrupted.

Hi. I would suggest that you unplug the printer, reinstall software and check you computer for viruses. If i continues, try letting it print out. maybe someone set so that 30 pages with a smiley would be printed next time you plugged it in. I how this will fix you problem.

My HP D7160 inkjet printer prints 3 pages every time I reboot my system. It prints a few characters of gibberish at the top of each of the pages. This is extremely annoying, particularly when I am...

open its directory by click in the tray system ..(right where the programs are opened) ..just right click on the printer ..and choose to go in the printer folder..there it will be the issue you are talking ..the previous jobs and errors..just try to eliminate by click-right on them and delete ..
so ..make a habit to check this folder for remaining jobs that loops and may cause issues..if they remain there and are not deleted..
