If you repeatedly enter the wrong passcode, iPhone or iPod touch will be disabled for longer intervals, before you can try again. After too many unsuccessful attempts, you won't be able to try again until you connect to the computer you normally sync with. Note that starting with iPhone 2.1 software, there is a setting to cause the device to erase itself after 10 consecutive incorrect password attempts. This setting is off by default. It can be turned on by tapping Settings > General > Passcode Lock after you enter a correct passcode.
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device on the computer that was used to originally sync the iPhone or iPod touch so that you can reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced to the iPhone or iPod touch, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode but your data will not be present.

SOURCE: My 8GB ipod touch is disabled and showing connect to itunes

Hopefully the option wasnt selected to delete the ipod after a certain number of incorrect passcode entries.

When you connect your ipod to itunes its going to reformat it.
(meaning it gets erased, they do it as a precaution)

DONT FORGET THE CODE NEXT TIME!

SOURCE: ipod is disabled

Hi Rita Parker...
If you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the IPod by doing the following:
Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one IPod synced with), and open iTunes.
When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can't unlock IPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod.
Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your IPod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone.
All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.
If you can't unlock your iPod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the IPod, which will erase all music and data.

Why is my iPod touch disabled for 5009752 minutes

The iPod touch is disabled when the incorrect unlock code is entered too many times. The time the iPod makes you wait increases each time an incorrect unlock code is entered.

There are two ways you should be able to unlock the iPod.
First, connect the iPod to the computer it was last synced with. After iTunes recognizes the iPod, you should be able to enter your unlock code and unlock the iPod.

If the first method doesn't work or you don't remember your unlock code, then do this:
1) Turn the iPod off.
2) Hold down the Home button and connect the iPod to the computer it was last synced with.
3)Release the Home button when the iTunes image appears of the iPod's screen.
4)Wait for iTunes to recognize the iPod and then follow the onscreen directions to restore the iPod.

If neither method works, you will need to contact Apple Customer Support.

8GB iPod Touch Disabled

you will have to restore your ipod to factory default settings in itunes.
or you can jailbreak the ipod with software like quickpwn.

Here is how to restore your ipod in itunes.
You will need to put the itouch in DFU/Recovery mode to get it to connect.

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} Plug the usb cable into the Ipod and NOT into the computer.
Hold the Home Button down for 5 second (do not release it)
Then Press and hold the Power Button for approx 10 secs (count them out)
Your iPod will reboot.
Release the power button and continue holding the Home button for an additional 27secs.
You may see the screen go blank or not.
Plug the USB end into the computer with itunes open.
Your ipod will mount in recovery mode.
Restore it and Your all set.

if you need any further help let me know.
Good Luck
