Question about Computers & Internet
I got a new notebook laptop about a couple of months ago and it was working fine for the first few days then it started to turn itself off while i was on it then come back on, i left it for a few days hoping it would get better but things have only got worse when i turn it on the hi grade start screen comes on as usual and then the screen goes blank and says ' PXE-EC1: Base-code not found,' and then it says i need to reboot but it doesnt come with a cd rom to reboot and there isnt a disk drive because its a small make of laptop. I recently left it on and it made a very high pitched beeping noise, the base code was not found part turned off and the whole laptop turned off so now when i turn it on the hi grade start screen appears and then the screen goes black and the laptop turns off. Could someone please help me out, I have a knowledge of computers but i can only do so much i really have no idea what to do. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much whoever replies :D xx

Do you get the message to press f10 at all during the boot process? If so please press f10 and follow the recovery procedures. All Hi grade systems without disks have a recovery partition built into the hard drive and you access this via the F10 key during boot up. Please let me know how you go with this.

Do you get the f7 factory restore appear before the hi-grade page comes up if so it looks like you might have to take it back to when it was first built ive had a few problems with my stepdaughters and i found the only way out is to f7 the computer
