This is a UHF radio.
SDC is 450-520 MHz.
RDC is 403-470 MHz.

As you can see the two bandsplits overlap in the common 450-470 MHz range. If your frequency is between these numbers either of the HT1000 models will work for you.

FYI: VHF has the letters KDC usually.

Compatibility

If your CP200 has a model number beginning with AAH50R it can be programmed to match the RDU2080d. If your CP200 model number begins with AAH50K, then the answer is no.

The letter R in the model number indicates it is UHF, and on the RDU2080d, the letter U in the model name indicates it is UHF. Both of these radios are programmable, and could be reprogrammed to match one another, if both UHF.

Best regards.

I NEED TO KNOW WHAT FREQ. RANGE IS ON THIS SERIAL # 777FWLE408

Sorry, the serial number does not tell the frequency band of the radio. From this serial number I can tell you it is likely an SP50 radio, and it wwas produced Nov. 1996. You would need the model number to know the frequency band. The model number of an SP50 radio beginning with P93 would be VHF, and if P94 it would be UHF.

Note: With the mandated change to narrowband by Jan. 2013, only SP50 radios with a 00 (double zero) in the model number will do the new narrowband. Those models on wideband would have a 20 (twenty) in the model number. Example: P94YQT20AA2 would be a wideband UHF radio.

Best regards.

Programing Motorola HT1000

The HT1000 is a dealer programmable unit. The DTMF keypad on the front of the unit would be nonfunctional unless you were using it in conjunction with a repeater system which allows for DTMF phone capabilities. Otherwise it is just an extra place for dust, dirt and moisture to get in the radio. If you are working as a firefighter, it is highly recommended you get a holster to cover the front of the radio to prevent moisture from getting to the component board through the keypad area. As for telling if the radio is VHF or UHF, typically the 4th digit of the model number will tell you. If it is an R it is UHF; if it is a K it is VHF. How can i tell if i have a UHF radio or VHF radio

You can use the model number to tell if you are VHF or UHF. You will still need to know the frequency(s) and PL code(s) your radios have to get radios to match.

VHF model number starts with P93.
UHF model number starts with P94.

The current replacement radio for the SP50 is the CP200. It is construction grade and was made to replace the SP50. There are other radios which will also match the SP50 including (but not limited to) the BPR40 and the new CP185.

Uhf or Vhf that is the question

UHF. To receive calls in your car, the radio would need to be programmed to a frequency matching other radio you are wanting to receive transmissions from.
