There is a long shot chance that the volume on that speaker has been muted and you should try to increase the volume while the internal speaker should be working. If your volume level indicate is set to max and you still have no sound coming out it then I would assume the speaker is dead. this sounds like a broken earpiece speaker you might be able to find a replacement one on-line and replace it or if its still under warranty send it back in and get it replaced
