Put it in the water and turn it upside down to let out all of the air. If it still won't sink look at the filter bag. If it is getting older and discolored it may need to be replaced.

A simple test is to remove it from the bottom lid and fill it with water like a water skin. If the water leaks out slowly or hardly at all, replace the bag. You could try washing it of course but it usually only helps for a short time if at all.

Need instruction manual for dolphin unit - the dolphin unit climbs walls but doesnt clean the bottom of the inground pool

If you need one for the dynamic model it is here.

Of not pick your model from the list and go to more info...from there you can select the manual.

You can also explore the Maytronics website for additional info or try our FAQ section at www.arrowpools.net.

My dolphin will not move, hum or show any sign of life when I started this pool year. (The light comes on,on the switch)

My Dolphin is doing the same thing (ie not doing anything, but on-off switch does light up).

When I unscrewed the bottom off the power supply (the thing with the on-off switch), I found the board was literally burned up. Before giving Dolphin a call to see about a replacement board, I will remove the side panel of the Dolphin itself to expose the drive belt to ensure there is no object lodged in it which could be the cause. I suspect this would be a worthwhile course of action for you also.

Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.

For starters, try the tip I posted here on Fixya, found at: http://www.fixya.com/support/r3651526-dolphin_pool_cleaner_wont_start_up. If that is not enough, try our sites FAQ section on Dolphins at www.arrowpools.net. Select the FAQ button then from the drop-down select Dolphin.

If none of this helps your problem could be in the power supply, cable or motor unit. The motor unit is the most likely problem.

It is not recommended you open the cord end that connects to the motor unit as you are breaking the seal for the submersible electronics. For information about sending your unit in for repair use the dolphin form link on the bottom of our site

Replaced old bag with correct new one. It ran fine. I took it out of pool to clean bag. When I put it back into pool, it wouldn't sink and when, I applied power, motor would not run. What do I do next?

I have a dolphin pool cleaner and it won't sink. Any advice?

If these automatic pool cleaners will not sink, 9 times out of 10 it is because air is caught in the filter bag. The best solution is to turn the Dolphin upside down under water for a few minutes to remove the air or to machine wash the filter bag.

Dolphin Interactive pool cleaner stops running

If the dolphin is falling backward when it meets the water line, there is an easy fix. The automatic pool cleaners often have this problem. The easiest solution is to remove the handle floats and attach an 8 oz weight to the bottom inlet cover.

Have a dolphin dX3- put it in the pool and it's floating; won't sink to the bottom. Pool water temp is 55 degrees.

the hose must be filled with water. Hold the hose up to where the water shoots into the pool and force all the air out of the hose line. The dolphin should sink.. Then connect the hose to the suction side
