Ford e150 is leaking somewhere on driver side when it rains?

If it ain't the windows.
It is probably an air vent seal.
Does it leak only when it is being driven or also when it is parked?
Check in front of the windshield - clean out the vents etc... check the gaskets going into the cabin around the wire harness inlets etc.
If you can't find a hole - it might just be condensation from the air conditioner hose.

There is a lever on my window unit, i'm not really sure what it's for but when it rained the rain come in throught the air conditioner. should that lever be pulled out or pushed in

It is for out side air,but rain is not supposed to come threw it,remove the unit from the window and clean it out, there is most likely trash in the unit making the rain water run in the house.

Why do most window air conditioners have vents on top - would not rain get in and ruin something? Should I be concerned?

Thee window air conditioners are designed to keep the rain water on the outside. There are no components that the rain can get to damage anything.

A lot of rain came in through the unit and now it won't run.

bad installation, no there is not a fuse, if the unit has digital controls they are probably fried, if it has the old style turn knobs you probably have shorted the run capacitorwhich can be in a few places but usually low in the unit, just look around, unplug of course and take apart make sure capacitor is not swollen

Toyota Tacoma 2003 hiss when turning left and water drips

probably water that came in from the outside cabin air intake underneath the windshield and its running through the vent system draining out through the floor vents. run the blower on medium or high speed to help dry it out.

Everytime it rains really hard rain gets in the car. There is a 2 or 3 inches in the passenger side floor board.

I have the same problem with my 91' 318. Water is coming in from the outside air intake at the base of the front windshield, under the black vent covers. If the basin fills up, water enters the vent system throught the outside air intake. Solution: there is a drain line at the fire wall, easily accessible between the firewall and engine block. It drains water from the basin. It becomes clogged with dirt, and prevents water from draining. However, after further inspection of mine I noticed that during periods of HEAVY rain, even a clean drain line is inadequate to drain that volume of water and the same happens. See attached link. Good Luck

Trane HVAC Unit

If your condenser blow air up through the top of the condenser and you are concern about rain water affecting the unit.

You can install a roof or rain hood about 4ft above the unit to keep the rain off, The unit must be able to blow air off without causing Hi head pressure to affect the unit, The condenser must breathe or desipate heat freely.
