Question about HTC Touch Cell Phone (Unlocked) - Soft Black

Open Question

My HTC Touch Diamond Pro touch screen stopped working

I can use all of the buttons and the keyboard but the screen stopped working.
-I tried powering off and back on, taking the battery out, replacing the battery and fully charging it
-I didn't drop it or get it wet
-Sometimes problems like this occurred with my old HTC Diamond Touch when I turned it on in areas of low signal, but I have had full bars everywhere I go.
-The screen appears fine, unscratched and nothing is unusual but it will not respond to stylus or finger touch. (or any touch whatsoever.)

FOLLOW this steps and fix it. God bless you

  1. Hard Reset
    • 1
Pull out the stylus from the back of the HTC Touch Diamond or the side of the HTC Touch Pro.

    • 2
Using one hand, press and hold the volume down button on the left side of the device, the power button on the top of the device and the circular button on the face of the device. It is generally easiest to hold the volume down button with your thumb, have your palm over the LCD, press the power button with your index finger and the circular button with your pinky.

Continue to hold the buttons down while you turn the device over to access the back side. Use the stylus to press the "Reset" button, located near the end of the stylus cavity on the Diamond, and by the port on the bottom of the device on the Touch Pro. Release the "Reset" button, but do not stop holding the volume down, power and circular buttons.

    • 4
Turn the HTC Diamond over and watch the LCD. When a message appears saying that this operation will delete your data, release the three buttons. Press the volume up button to complete the hard reset.

    Clear Storage
    • 5
Slide your finger to the right along the bottom of the LCD until the "Settings" option appears. Tap "All Settings" on the device.

    • 6
Tap the "System" tab on the screen and then tap "Clear Storage"

    • 7
Select the drop-down box and choose "Clear Storage Only." Type "1234" into the text box confirming that you do want to delete your information and then press "Yes."

Hi there,

Looks like you should try to Hard Reset it.

This is done by having your HTC Diamond turned off first.

Then, hold the VOLUME UP and DOWN buttons at the same time and briefly press the POWER BUTTON.

Now keep holding down the VOLUME UP and DOWN buttons until you see a screen
htc_touch_diamond_2_hard_reset_soft_reset_1.jpg
At soon as you see this screen, you should release the VOLUME UP and DOWN buttons.
Now press the VOLUME UP button to complete the hard reset. Now this will completely format your HTC Touch Diamond as if it was turned on for the first time from the box. Everything once previously on the phone will be deleted including messages, contacts, music and the like. Hope I have been of assistance to you, Cheers :)

Trying to get screen to turn when texting HTC touch diamond

Unfortunately the gyro in the HTC diamond only operates in certain programs like opera mobile internet browser, when viewing pictures in album, and the game teeter. The keyboard would be bigger if it could be rotated using the gyro but HTC did not program it to do this. There are some free program you can download that will allow you to do this but they also rotate everything else every time you tilt the phone.

The touch pad of HTC Touch responds intermittently.

hi, its a error in the phone, I had this happen to mine. You will most likely have to sent it away for repair. Just reflash the stock ROM and make sure that you have reflashed the stock SPL if you where using hard SPL and you will be ok this site will help you flash: http://lievenvw.wordpress.com/2008/09/18/howto-flash-your-htc-diamond-or-htc-touch-pro-with-a-custom-rom/ thank you

try hardreset, if it does not help, you could have broken digitizer, put it to service, manual replacing is very difficult
