Question about HP PSC 2510 All-In-One InkJet Printer
When I apply power the display turns on showing an hour glass. After about 5 secs there is a small clicking sound in the speaker and then the displays turns of for a few secs. After that the process repeats infinitely.
This happened after a power outage in my area. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I, too, have this same problem. My printer is about 5 years old. Do you think it could just be dirt?
A few months back it was doing the same thing, and miraculously began to function properly again. Then, I unplugged it and moved it to another room. Now it is doing the clicking thing again. It seems to be coming somewhere just above the printer cartridges when I lift up the cover.

Same problem here. On/off, semi- and full reset didn't work. Tried the "Best Solution" (the ketchup bottle one) here: http://www.fixya.com/support/t218104-making_funny_clicking_noise_hour_glass
Voila! It worked!
The printer is old, and planned obsolescence is kicking in. Won't last long.
